Houzy is the first neutral and complete platform with digital services and a select network of experts for homeowners in Switzerland. In order to meet the various needs of all homeowners throughout the entire lifecycle and to offer our users sustainable added value, we are constantly expanding our free platform with innovative tools and strong partners. Starting this week, we have the privilege of working together with UBS and their innovative real estate platform key4 to further expand our ecosystem for homeowners. The new partnership with key4 by UBS makes us very proud as a young start-up and strengthens us in our vision.
Like Houzy, UBS believes in the added value and future of open platforms and wants to build and expand an ecosystem around the topics of "home ownership" and "living" with the key4 platform launched at the end of June 2020. This idea and philosophy coincide with our approach, which we have consistently pursued from the very beginning. Martha Böckenfeld, Head Digital Platforms & Marketplaces at UBS, agrees: "Our new key4 platform will offer numerous services as an open ecosystem, also thanks to partnerships with selected third parties such as Houzy. Together with Houzy, we will make innovative financing options available to homeowners, digitally and personally." Our joint focus is on digital services for homeowners, from search and purchase to mortgages, renovation or refurbishment, and sale or probate. There are many interfaces here with existing and planned offerings from Houzy, in order to simplify the lives of homeowners together. One of the first results of this partnership is the integration of the key4 mortgage offers on MyHouzy under "Finances".
key4 is an innovative real estate financing platform for owner-occupied housing. New compared to previous online platforms is the possibility to split the financing between several providers, so that the most attractive offer can be selected for each term. With key4, mortgage borrowers can thus choose between fully comparable offers from banks, pension funds and investment foundations. This has a big advantage for borrowers: they can split their mortgage into several tranches from different providers and save money if they cleverly combine the terms. Currently, mortgages can be extended and redeemed via key4; from autumn 2020, new contracts will also be possible.
key4 is an online platform developed according to the mobile-first approach for mortgages at attractive and transparent conditions. Anyone interested in a mortgage only needs to enter a few pieces of information on their smartphone, tablet or desktop and will receive the best non-binding offers from various providers in just a few minutes. Anyone interested in an offer can make an appointment online for a telephone consultation and receive their tailored offer with the appointment confirmation as a basis for discussion. If the borrower decides on one of the offers, UBS manages, supervises and administers the mortgage(s) for him and he has only one contact person, independent of the provider.
Through the partnership with key4, we are expanding our offer for homeowners and together we are promoting home ownership in Switzerland in a sustainable way. We are looking forward to the journey together.
