The right craftsmen for thermal insulation

A lot of heat is lost through the building envelope. Mostly through the windows (30 to 40 percent), but also through poorly insulated facades (20 to 25 percent), roofs (up to 20 percent) and basements (5 to 10 percent). Facade builders and painters or plasterers insulate the facade and basement ceiling, roofers the roof. It makes sense to renovate not only the facade or the roof for energy efficiency, but the entire building envelope. Then one of the craftsmen takes over the coordination of all renovation measures.

The cost of thermal insulation

For roof insulation, calculate from 40 to 250 francs per square meter: Under-rafter insulation is the cheapest, and above-rafter insulation is the most expensive. Floor slab insulation costs 35 to 80 francs per square meter. For the facade, calculate 50 to 300 francs per square meter. Core insulation is the cheapest, curtain wall the most expensive. Insulating the basement ceiling costs 40 to 120 francs per square meter. These are approximate values. If you want to know more, ask our craftsmen.
